From Him through Him and for Him

(Ro 11:33) O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
(Ro 11:34) For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
(Ro 11:35) Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
(Ro 11:36) For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

One of the topics of the book of Job is the glory of the Lord. The book of Job has verses related to the passage above.

(Job 5:8) I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
(Job 5:9) Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number

(Job 9:10) Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

(Job 11:7) Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

Related to "who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?" is also the following verse.

(Job 22:2) Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?

(Lk 17:10) So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

(Job 35:5) Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.
(Job 35:6) If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
(Job 35:7) If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

(Job 37:23)MKJV The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is exalted in power; and to judgment and overflowing righteousness He does no violence.

(Job 41:11) Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

Passages reflecting the fact that "of him, and through him ... are all things" are numerous.

(Job 38:4)MKJV Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell if you have understanding!
(Job 38:5) Who has set its measurements, for you know? Or who has stretched the line on it?
(Job 38:6) On what are its bases sunk, or who cast its cornerstone ...

(Job 38:12) Have you commanded the morning from your days, and caused the dawn to know its place

God is involved even in things such as the following.

(Job 37:6) For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

(Job 37:10) By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

(Job 39:1) Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
(Job 39:2) Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

(Job 38:41)MKJV Who provides food for the raven, when its young ones cry to God and wander about without food?

Indeed we read that " ... the living God ... giveth us richly all things to enjoy" (1Ti 6:17). Since all things are for him (Ro 11:36), we should willingly serve him. Since all things are "of him, and through him" (Ro 11:36), we are to give him thanks.

(Eph 5:20) Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
